Medicaid MUST be Renewed in 2023


UPDATE – To ensure all Medicaid recipients who received renewal packets in April have at least 30 days to respond, as required by federal guidelines, HHSC has extended the deadline to return renewal packets from May 8 to May 15.

Attention Medicaid recipients:

CONTINUOUS COVID MEDICAID ENDED

 YOU MUST FILL OUT RECERTIFICATION PACKETS OR YOUR MEDICAID WILL BE CUT OFF.

WATCH OUT FOR A YELLOW ENVELOPE !!!!!!

HHSC will send recertification letters to all Medicaid recipients sometime between April 1 and Dec 31, 2023.

Continuous Medicaid eligibility ended on March 31, 2023. You need to renew your benefits when you receive a recertification packet.

  • Has your address changed? Call HHS at 2-1-1 option 2 to make sure they have your updated address, so that you can receive your letters. Or visit YourTexasBenefits.com to update your information.
  • Medicaid members should look out for renewal notices mailed in a YELLOW ENVELOPE that says “Action Required” in red or sent electronically to members signed up for electronic notices.
