Lone Star Legal Aid Set to Present in Human Trafficking Awareness Bus Tour


Houston, TX – Lone Star Legal Aid will join Children at Risk for an educational bus tour generously co-sponsored by Houston Young Lawyers Association and Vinson & Elkins LLP on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2900 Weslayan St. Ste 400, Houston, TX 77027. This tour and discussion aim to help expose the realities of domestic minor sex trafficking, labor trafficking, and commercial sexual exploitation in Houston.

Attorneys will get a first-hand look at where major trafficking incidents were identified, where these crimes may be presently occurring, and how to identify signs of human trafficking in their community. Attorneys who participate will be eligible to receive 1.5 hours of CLE with 1 hour going towards ethics.

Lone Star Legal Aid Managing Attorney Jessie Campbell will participate in the presentation. Participants should arrive at Children at Risk (2900 Weslayan St. Ste 400, Houston, TX 77027) at 6:00 PM. The event will begin with a brief presentation on the intersection between commercial sex and human trafficking. Attorneys in attendance will receive CLE credit. Prior registration required.
