World Day of Social Justice is an international day that recognizes the need to promote social justice, which includes efforts to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion, gender inequality, unemployment, human rights, environmental justice, and social protections.
The 2023 theme is Overcoming Barriers and Unleashing Opportunities for Social Justice. This year’s theme focuses on the recommendations of the UN’s Common Agenda to strengthen global solidarity and to rebuild trust in government.
Some key proposals are:
- Leave no one behind.
- Protect our planet.
- Promote peace and prevent conflict.
- Ensure justice.
- Place women and girls at the center of social justice issues.
- Build trust.
In line with this theme, we work to ensure equal access to justice. Our attorneys work to reduce and prevent environmental burdens, and secure family safety and security. Our other advocates share information about the valuable government resources available to our community.
