10 Houston Public Housing Complexes Will Open Their Waitlists in January 2023

The Houston Housing Authority board has voted to reopen the waiting list for 10 public housing developments on January 15, 2023. The waiting list closed in August 2018 due to the high volume of applications.
Although there is still a backlog of applicants on the waiting list, some developments have shorter waiting lists than others.
The waiting lists will open for the following 10 public housing developments:
- Bellerive Senior Apartments (for ages 62 and above)
- Cuney Homes
- Ewing Apartments
- Independence Heights Apartments
- Kennedy Place
- Irvinton Village
- Kelly Village
- Lyerly Senior Apartments (for ages 62 and above)
- Heatherbrook Apartments
- Lincoln Park
Applicants are allowed to join the waiting list for multiple properties.
Applications can be made online, at the Housing Authority main office (2640 Fountain View Drive, Houston, TX 77507), and at the offices of each housing development. Language accommodations will be provided to applicants.
