Which legal aid organization serves my Texas county?


Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas (LANWT), Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA), and Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) are legal aid organizations funded by Legal Services Corporation (LSC) to assist low-income Texans with their civil legal needs. LSLA has 14 offices in 76 counties with staff attorneys and pro bono volunteers ready to help take on your case. See below for a list of our office locations and the counties they serve.

  • Beaumont Office – Serves Hardin, Jefferson, Liberty, and Orange Counties.
  • Belton Office – Serves Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, and Milam.
  • Bryan Office – Serves Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Lee, Leon, Madison, and Robertson Counties.
  • Clute Office – Serves Brazoria, Matagorda, and Wharton Counties.
  • Conroe Office – Serves Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, and Waller Counties.
  • Galveston Office – Serves Chambers and Galveston Counties.
  • Houston Office – Serves Harris County.
  • Longview Office – Serves Camp, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Panola, Rusk, and Upshur Counties.
  • Nacogdoches Office – Serves Anderson, Angelina, Cherokee, Houston, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, and Tyler Counties.
  • Paris Office – Serves Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River, and Titus Counties.
  • Texarkana Office – Serves Bowie and Cass Counties.
  • Tyler Office – Serves Henderson, Rains, Smith, Van Zandt, and Wood Counties.
  • Richmond Office – Serves Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, and Washington Counties.
  • Waco Office – Serves Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, McLennan, and Navarro Counties.

Lone Star Legal Aid is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit law firm focused on advocacy for low-income and underserved populations. Lone Star Legal Aid serves millions of people at 125% of federal poverty guidelines that reside in 72 counties in the eastern and Gulf Coast regions of Texas, and 4 counties of Southwest Arkansas.
