Lone Star Legal Aid Honors Brazos County Attorney Donald Delgado for Upholding Justice

INDIVIDUAL ATTORNEY RECEIVES ACCOLADES FOR OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO PRO BONO SERVICE

In commemoration of National Pro Bono Week (October 25th – 29th), Lone Star Legal Aid honors Donald Delgado for his Outstanding Commitment to Pro Bono Service.

Lone Star Legal Aid Pro Bono awards recognize attorneys, law firms and community partners who donate their time and legal expertise to ensure that all East Texas residents have equal access to the courts. Mr. Delgado will be formally recognized on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Brazos County Courthouse, in a recognition event hosted by the Honorable Kyle Hawthorne, 85th District Court, with Award Certificates from Lone Star Legal and the Honorable J. Brett Busby, Justice, Supreme Court of Texas. A reception will follow the ceremony sponsored by Lone Star Legal Aid and the Brazos County Bar Association.

Donald Delgado’s exemplary pro bono participation has included assisting several Lone Star Legal Aid clients in the past year, including currently offering extended representation in a breach of warranty matter to a Veteran, and advice to other clients in contract/employment matters. One of these clients stated she was grateful for Donald’s expertise and felt confident that her entire family could finally move forward following a contract dispute exacerbated by the pandemic.
