Every June, Lone Star Legal Aid participates in National Homeownership Awareness Month by celebrating all the work we do to keep homeowners in their homes. Lone Star Legal Aid’s Foreclosure Prevention Project helps low-income homeowners and their families preserve homeownership and, in doing so, protect home equity, gain housing stability, and safeguard communities.
The Foreclosure Prevention Project works to prevent the foreclosure of a home, delay the foreclosure of a home, or obtain another benefit for a homeowner in a foreclosure-related matter by providing brief advice and/or counsel, transactional assistance, and representation in court and/or administrative proceedings.
Last week’s Friday Law Talk featured our Foreclosure Prevention Project. They discussed the various foreclosure moratoriums, forbearances, and the options available to borrowers after the forbearance period ends. Watch below.
Stay-tuned for an upcoming town hall on Executory Contracts from our Foreclosure Prevention Project coming soon.
