Connecting Texas Kids to Medical Coverage: Lone Star Legal Aid Available to Help with SNAP and Medicaid Benefit Appeals

HHSC announced SNAP and Medicaid benefit renewals will automatically be renewed so that existing clients can maintain coverage during the crisis, but many Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) clients have reported their benefits have been denied or terminated.

Lone Star Legal Aid’s Connecting Texas Kids to Coverage Team is available to help SNAP and Medicaid recipients with the appeal process if their benefits have been denied or terminated.  SNAP and Medicaid recipients can apply for free legal help with the appeal process by visiting www.LoneStarLegal.org or by calling 1-800-733-8394.

For more information about LSLA’s Connecting Texas Kids to Coverage program, catch us on the People’s News on KPFT Radio 90.1 this Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2 PM.
