April 7th is World Health Day “Doing Our Part by Providing Health Care Benefits”

This World Health Day, Lone Star Legal Aid participates in raising awareness by featuring its Houston Public Benefits Unit on its weekly Friday Law Talk on April 9, 2021, at 3 PM at www.facebook.com/LoneStarLegalAid

Lone Star Legal Aid’s Public Benefits Unit provides assistance to eligible individuals and families with obtaining Medicare, handing nursing home problems, obtaining county indigent health care, appealing denials of emergency room care or access to care, as well as private insurance issues

Additionally, LSLA’s Connecting Texas Kids to Medical Coverage Unit provides legal assistance to those who need help to access health care benefits for their children. The team provides coverage application assistance, guidance during document submission, renewal services, and appeal assistance should your application be denied.

By providing legal services to children, we are building a healthier world. Healthy children are better prepared to succeed in school and in life. Texas Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) offer parents and care givers peace of mind knowing their children are covered and can receive the care they need. Having high quality, affordable health coverage can mean the world to children and their families. Together we can implement healthier ways by building a healthier world.
