A news release from Governor Abbot says that SNAP (Food Stamp) recipients in Hardin, Jefferson, Newton, Orange, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, and Tyler counties will automatically receive replacement food stamp benefits. People in these counties have until September 30, to report other food loss and ask for benefits in addition to the benefits that will be replaced.
People receiving SNAP (Food Stamp) in Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Brazoria, Camp, Cass, Chambers, Cherokee, Fort Bend, Franklin, Galveston, Gregg, Harris, Harrison, Houston, Jasper, Liberty, Marion, Matagorda, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Polk, Red River, Rusk, San Jacinto, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Upshur, Walker, Waller, Wharton, and Wood counties, individuals and families will have until Sept. 30, 2020 to report food loss and ask for replacement benefits. If you live in one of these counties and receive SNAP (Food Stamp) benefits, you must apply for replacement benefits.
