National Military Family Month
Our service members undergo many sacrifices fighting for the United States and many don’t realize the hardships military families go through as well. Military families face disparities such as moving from base to base, losing a loved one, having a loved one deployed for months, or dealing with long-term physical and emotional wounds.
Every November, our nation recognizes National Military Family Month which supports and shows appreciation to the military and their families for their sacrifices. To mark the occasion, American military families are honored through various ceremonies and events that thank them for their commitment.
There are many local and national services provided to show appreciation during Military Family Month. Here are a few:

National Family Caregivers Month
Each year in November, the nation shines a light on family caregivers in the United States. Since the 2000s, presidents have designated November as National Family Caregivers Month to honor the 40 million caregivers across the country who support aging parents, ill spouses or other loved ones with disabilities who remain at home.
This year’s theme is “Caregiving Around the Clock.”
Excerpt from the 2019 Presidential Proclamation
“This November, we recognize and honor the commitment of those who exemplify the essential American tenets of devotion to family and compassion toward those who matter most in our lives. Through caregivers’ generosity, our vulnerable communities are able to fully experience the many blessings of our great Nation.”
