Lone Star Legal Aid Honors Heather Bradford Patterson for Upholding Justice
In commemoration of National Pro Bono Week (October 21-27th), Lone Star Legal Aid Nacogdoches Branch Office honors Heather Bradford Patterson with the Most Litigated Cases Handled Award. Lone Star Legal Aid Pro Bono awards recognize attorneys, law firms and community partners who donate their time and legal expertise to ensure that all East Texas residents have equal access to the courts.
Heather Bradford Patterson will be formally recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from Lone Star Legal Aid and Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman, Court Liaison to the Texas Access to Justice Commission on Monday, October 22, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Angelina County Court at Law #2 Courtroom. Honorable Clyde Herrington, County Court at Law #2 Judge will be in attendance for the presentation. A reception will immediately follow the presentation.
2018 Most Litigated Cases Handled Award
Heather Bradford Patterson is a solo practitioner and has volunteered with LSLA since 2015 primarily in the area of Family Law and has assisted numerous low-income Angelina County residents with their legal issues during that period of time. She has previously received an award from Lone Star Legal Aid for her volunteer efforts assisting residents of Nacogdoches County and surrounding counties.
The week of October 21-27 has been designated as the “National Pro Bono Celebration” by the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. The goal is to showcase the remarkable difference that pro bono lawyers make to our nation, to our system of justice, to our communities and, most of all, to the clients they serve.
