Lone Star Legal Aid Honors Suzanne Scully for Upholding Justice

In commemoration of National Pro Bono Celebration (October 22-28), Lone Star Legal Aid (LSLA) honors Suzanne Scully, Associate at Moon, Scully and Normand, PLLC, with the All Around Rock Star Award. The Lone Star Legal Aid Pro Bono Award recognizes attorneys, law firms, community partners, and individuals who donate their time and legal expertise to ensuring that all residents within Brazos and surrounding counties have equal access to the courts.

Suzanne Scully was formally recognized on October 22, 2017 by Lone Star Legal Aid’s Bryan office with a certificate of appreciation from LSLA and Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman, court liaison for the Texas Access to Justice Commission.

LSLA presents Suzanne Scully with the All Around Rock Star Award in recognition of her contributions in fostering access to justice for Brazos and surrounding counties’ most vulnerable residents. The All Around Rock Star Award is awarded to businesses, organizations, or individuals who go well over and beyond in donating time to provide legal assistance to the local low income population.

Suzanne Scully has earned this award for her sacrifice and commitment of volunteering every week at Lone Star Legal Aid’s Bryan office. Through her sacrifice, she has provided legal assistance for at least 15 legal matters to residents of Washington, Brazos, Leon, and Grimes counties. Her dedication this year has and continues to secure legal resources for many individuals who otherwise would have none. LSLA recognizes the value she provides to the residents located throughout its Bryan Office service area and thanks her. It is rock stars like Suzanne Scully that help LSLA provide clients with quality, legal services.

The week of October 22-28, 2017 has been designated as the “National Pro Bono Celebration” by the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. The mission is to showcase the remarkable difference that pro bono lawyers and community partners make to our nation, to our system of justice, to our communities and, most of all, to the clients they serve.
