All offices closed in the anticipation and aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, are now open, Houston being an exception. All of our branch offices are operating their normal business hours and routine, in addition to providing disaster legal services and triaging calls for the Houston office.
At this time, the Houston office remains closed for all of its staff, excluding the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic.
The LITC got back in an office on Monday, September 11, 2017, occupying space offered by Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. Vorys sponsors Equal Justice Works fellow, Lisa Virgen. Lisa’s EJW project entails advocating for underrepresented populations against tax preparation fraud and increasing access to tax legal assistance through educational outreach to refugees and immigrants.
