Next Chapter Saturday Series - Estate Planning Workshop (Registration Required)ing: A Free Presentation by Lone Star Legal Aid

Lone Star Legal Aid is pleased to share free legal information about the Basics of Estate Planning. This event is designed to empower individuals with essential knowledge about wills, transfer on death deeds (ToDDs), and other critical estate planning tools to ensure peace of mind and protect their loved ones.

During the presentation, attendees will gain a clear understanding of:

• The importance of estate planning for incapacity and death, including how to avoid “tangled titles.”

• Key differences between probate and non-probate assets and how to manage them effectively.

• Essential documents like wills, ToDDs, advanced directives, and guardianship designations.

• Steps to create an individualized plan that considers family dynamics, health, and property types.

• Practical tips for organizing vital documents and communicating wishes to family members.

• Whether you’re starting your estate planning journey or looking to refine existing plans, this session offers valuable legal information. Attendees will also learn about Lone Star Legal Aid’s resources and how to seek personalized legal advice.
