VETERANS ORGANIZATION RECEIVES ACCOLADES
In commemoration of National Pro Bono Week (October 25th – 29th), Lone Star Legal Aid, in collaboration with the Smith County Bar Foundation, honors local Veteran outreach organization, CampV, with a Community Partner Award.
Lone Star Legal Aid Pro Bono Awards recognize attorneys, law firms and community partners who donate their time and legal expertise to ensure that all East Texas residents have equal access to the courts. CampV will be formally recognized on October 28, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Smith County Court by The Honorable Nathaniel Moran, Smith County Judge, with an Award Certificate from Lone Star Legal and the Honorable J. Brett Busby, Justice, Supreme Court of Texas. A reception will follow the ceremony sponsored by Lone Star Legal Aid and the Smith County Bar Foundation.
ABOUT CAMPV
CampV’s mission is to integrate military and civilian resources through one centralized location, providing efficient and effective support and fellowship for Veterans, active duty, reserves, guard, and their families.
Recognizing that East Texas has the second highest concentration of Veterans in Texas while offering the fewest support services, East Texas Veterans Community Council (dba: CampV), was established as a unique 20 acre campus in Tyler to provide convenient access to local Veteran Service Providers. The vision is to offer a support and resource haven for all Veterans, well and in need.
Under the leadership of CampV’s Executive Director, USAF Retired Master Sergeant Travis Gladhill, BS, CampV assists Veterans and their families throughout the 14 counties of East Texas.
