INDIVIDUAL ATTORNEY RECEIVES ACCOLADES FOR
OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO PRO BONO SERVICE
In commemoration of National Pro Bono Week (October 25th – 29th), Lone Star Legal Aid honors local attorney Stephen M. Spitzer for his Outstanding Commitment to Pro Bono Service.
Lone Star Legal Aid Pro Bono Awards recognize attorneys, law firms and community partners who donate their time and legal expertise to ensure that all East Texas residents have equal access to the courts. Mr. Spitzer will be formally recognized on October 28, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Smith County Court by The Honorable Nathaniel Moran, Smith County Judge, with an Award Certificate from Lone Star Legal and the Honorable J. Brett Busby, Justice, Supreme Court of Texas. A reception will follow the ceremony sponsored by Lone Star Legal Aid and the Smith County Bar Foundation.
Stephen Spitzer is being honored and recognized for his longstanding commitment to pro bono service. Steve never hesitates to answer the call for his much needed assistance in the areas of Wills, Probates and Guardianship matters. His volunteer service includes not only assisting low-income parents to become Guardians of their adult disabled children in the East Texas area, but also graciously serves as Attorney Ad Litem for proposed wards and mentors his colleagues on complicated probate issues and questions when they arise.
