Lone Star Legal Aid Honors Smith County Attorney Tab Beall for Upholding Justice

INDIVIDUAL ATTORNEY RECEIVES ACCOLADES FOR OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO PRO BONO SERVICE

In commemoration of National Pro Bono Week (October 25th – 29th), Lone Star Legal Aid honors local attorney Tab Beall for his Outstanding Commitment to Pro Bono Service.
Lone Star Legal Aid Pro Bono Awards recognize attorneys, law firms and community partners who donate their time and legal expertise to ensure that all East Texas residents have equal access to the courts. Mr. Beall will be formally recognized on October 28, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Smith County Court by The Honorable Nathaniel Moran, Smith County Judge, with an Award Certificate from Lone Star Legal and the Honorable J. Brett Busby, Justice, Supreme Court of Texas. A reception will follow the ceremony sponsored by Lone Star Legal Aid and the Smith County Bar Foundation.

Tab Beall has handled pro bono cases through Lone Star Legal Aid since the Smith County Bar Foundation Volunteer Attorney Program was established in 2003, and Tab served as the first President of that Foundation. His commendable commitment to volunteer service has not wavered through the pandemic. While his daily practice focuses primarily on delinquent tax collections, Tab’s pro bono cases have always been in the area where his service was needed most, which is Family Law.

ABOUT TAB BEALL
Tab Beall, a lifetime Tyler resident, is a Partner with Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, L.L.P. He has been with the firm for over 32 years and has been married to his wife, Bonnie, for 43 years. The couple has two children and two grandchildren.

Tab believes he has an “obligation to provide some help to others—whether a religious duty to help others, or a legal duty as a licensed attorney to provide assistance to those in need. Either way, it is giving back.”

Lone Star Legal Aid salutes Tab Beall for his long-standing commitment to pro bono service.
