The Brazoria County Housing Authority (BCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is opening soon. Applications will be accepted from July 12, 2021 at 8:00 am, until July 16, 2021 at 4:00 pm CT. (No exceptions!)

To apply during the opening period, complete the online application here. No paper applications will be accepted.

In order to get on the waiting list, you must:

  • live or work in Brazoria County, Texas;
  • be elderly or disabled; and
  • be currently working.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences. For more information, visit the BCHA website.

Reasonable Accommodation

Applicants who need help completing the application due to a disability can make a reasonable accommodation request to the housing authority by calling (979) 864-1960 or (979) 864-1968.

  • Confirm your waiting list status.
  • Estimate your wait time.
  • Stay in contact with the housing office.
  • Attend final eligibility interview.
  • Find a unit.
