Houston, TX – Lone Star Legal Aid will be at the Town Hall being hosted by Counsel Member Amy Peck from District A at 6:30 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 4703 East Shadowdale Drive, Houston, Texas 77041. The location has been set up as an American Red Cross Disaster Center.
Lone Star Legal Aid’s Disaster Relief Unit will be present to provide information to survivors with regard to legal issues typically faced in the aftermath of a disaster, like landlord/tenant issues, dealing with insurance policies, and avoiding home repair fraud.

Lone Star Legal Aid operates a toll-free disaster legal hotline — 866-659-0666 — that can help with issues such as replacing lost documents, answering insurance questions, helping with landlord-tenant problems, and addressing scam or consumer protection concerns. People who qualify for assistance will be matched with lawyers who can provide free legal help.
