Lone Star Legal Aid’s Disaster Relief Team co-hosted a Deed and Title Clinic with AARP Houston on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. The purpose of the clinic was to educate the community on what it means to legally own their homes and allow community members the opportunity to speak to lawyers for free help to resolve lingering legal issues with titles or deeds.
Clearing up these issues helps ensure families are prepared for the next storm and also assists in the access to remaining Harvey resources.
