April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Each year during the Month of April, government agencies, rape crisis centers, business, campuses, and individuals plan events that emphasize the prominence of sexual violence and the dire need for prevention efforts.

“I Ask”

This year’s theme, as decided by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC), is “I Ask”—a message that highlights the importance of consent in a part of healthy, everyday interactions.

LSLA’s Legal Assistance to Survivors of Sexual Assault team is hosting their first ever Survivors Rock! painting party. The event on April 9, 2019, from 12 pm until 4 pm at our Belton office located at 512 S Main Street, Belton, Texas. This is a rock painting party in an effort to raise awareness about sexual assault. The goal is to bring together the community about this issue and help victims feel comfortable speaking up and reaching out for resources.

Rocks, paint, and other materials will be provided.
