April 19th-25th is National Crime Victims’ Right’s Week: Seek Justice, Ensure Victim’s Rights, Inspire Hope

One week in April every year is reserved for recognizing crime victims and their rights. A national focus on crime victims dates back to 1965 and since then has strengthened federal legislation, court decisions, government action, and programs when working with crime victims. The week-long campaign promotes victim’s rights and those who advocate on their behalf. Raising awareness on crime victims’ rights helps victims rebuild their lives and remain hopeful for progress and healing. Join the movement in seeking justice, ensuring their rights and inspiring hope.

Lone Star Legal Aid’s Crime Victim’s Unit and Legal Assistance to Survivors of Sexual Assault Project focus their advocacy on assisting victims of crime. Browse through our Stories of Justice to read our client’s stories.
