Lone Star Legal Aid Honors Attorney Eldridge Moak For Upholding Justice In Cherokee County

Cherokee County, TX – In commemoration of National Pro Bono Week (October 23-29) Lone Star Legal Aid honors Cherokee County Attorney, Eldridge Moak with the 2017 Cherokee County Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award.  LSLA Pro Bono Awards recognize attorneys, law firms, and community partners who donate their time and legal expertise to ensure that all East Texas residents have equal access to the courts and legal representation.

Eldridge Moak is an Attorney at Law, partner with Moak & Kesler, and also President of the Cherokee Title Company in Jacksonville, Texas.  He has been a member of the Texas Bar since 1975 and he is admitted to the United States District Court and the Eastern District of Texas.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin with Honors.  He has previously served as Cherokee County Bar President, as well as on the Jacksonville City Council and on the Board of Directors of the East Texas Council of Governments.  Currently a member of the Texas Bar Foundation, as well as other organizations, he has a strong sense of civic duty which is evidenced by his magnanimous service to his community.

Mr. Moak will be formally recognized on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cherokee County Bar Association Fall meeting on Lake Jacksonville with a certificate of appreciation from LSLA and Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman, Court Liaison for the Texas Access to Justice Commission.
