How to move files from your local hard drive to the
network
Steps to access files on Local Hard Drive:
1. Login to your Lone Star Legal Desktop via our website www.lonestarlegal.org
2. Right click the Start menu and select Explorer

a. Answer, Full Access
b. Answer, Never ask me again for any application
c. (See figure 1.)
4. On the left side of your explorer window click the (-) button next to local disk
5. Go to C$ on ‘Client’ (V:) (This is your local hard drive)
6. Locate the directory you have the files in and copy them to your (P:) drive.
***Special note your (P:) drive is your personal drive on
Steps to access files from your Local Network:
1. Perform steps 1 thru 4 which are listed above

From your Lone Star Legal Desktop windows
explorer go to Tools, Map Network Drive
3.
Click the drop down arrow next to Drive:
and select a drive letter which you will remember and one that is not currently
in use

Once you have your drive letter selected next to
Folder: click Browse…
5.
A Browse for Folder window will appear:

Click the (+) button next to Client Network
to open
7.
Click the (+) button next to Client to
locate and open your network drives
8.
Your drives will then be listed as \\
Client\”drive letters you have mapped”
9.
Click the drive you want mapped and then click OK
10.
Before you click finish you may click Reconnect
at logon if you want this drive to be mapped every time you login
******Special note, if you
login from home you are no longer connected to this resource, but Citrix will
attempt to map it anyway. Do not disconnect the drive if you receive and error
message here****************************
